The Koss SB-45 is great deal for the price. I would recommend this communication stereo headset to people who need a USB headset for chatting. I had to take it off for a rest while using it for long hours gaming session. It feels a little heavy on my head, though it is not tight.

It is no-brainer to set up, just plug it in, then windows Vista automatically recognize this device without additional drivers. It works great on my laptop with windows Vista. The headset allows you to mute and adjust volume easily. It works pretty well with TeamSpeak and Ventrilo, too. It provided an extremely clear, crisp and loud sound without any background noise when I connected it with my PC. The microphone is excellent for chatting. I had thrown them on the ground twice, but they were not broken. The Koss SB-45 seems sturdy and You can bend the mic of it any ways you want. The audio from the headset was clear and loud. The headset worked well with the VOIP applications, too. Awesome sound quality.The Koss SB-45 worked well with my Realtek sound card, the stereo sound is amazing! The headset is pretty solid, I tried it with some different games such as CoD 4, Halo 2, sounds were pretty good, the gunshot was powerful and the surround sound was impressive, with plenty of bass. Though I was not a big fan of Koss, I had to admit that the Koss SB-45 was a great value for every penny I paid. They are more expensive than the Koss SB-45, though they worked pretty well with my PC. Audio 655, Sennheiser HD428 and Logitech H390 over the past two years. I have tried out various brands of headsets such as SteelSeries 4H, Plantronics. I can hear everyone fine, but no one can hear me. However, after the CSGO update, The mic has not been working. The Koss SB-45 did this job very well for me. I have a logitech g230 headset and it has worked fine ever since I got it. As a gamer, I love to play online games and talk to my friend on Teamspeak and Ventrillo.
I like to chatting on Skype, Google Voice, Tokbox and other VOIP applications. I would not recommend it for the $30 price bump.This communication stereo headset fits all what I wanted. The sound didn't really work any better than the stereo from the normal HyperX, in fact it was worse for some things.

I tried the HyperX Cloud II (Its newer edition with simulated 7.1 surround) and would not recommend it. there is no need for that with a pc, and it is hardware and can not be solved by a driver, the 3. The HyperX is a full headset for sound + chat. It only has a single plug for this headset which you would put in the microphone jack on your PC. Since i have a nice 5.1 SS system in my room already, this headset works great while playing (Its basically an upgraded headset that came with the XB1). The Turtle is for communications only, it has an open ear cup design to allow you to hear your surround sound for gaming while only putting communication chat in the headphone. The G230 is highly recommended many places over the net.
I personally own both the low turtle beach and the top end HyperX. Mid Price: Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset - You will need a joiner cable if you want to use this on XB1 as well (New controllers only, old ones need another adapter) If I lower it down to DVD quality there is none, however I would very much enjoy having the highest quality possible without gain (Hopefully studio). Low Price: Turtle Beach - Ear Force Recon 30X - You would use this as Mic only on PC. Microphone too Much Gain Hello, I have a Logitech G230 Headset I absolutely love them, but the microphone has too much gain. Gaming headsets would work just fine if it has a headphone + mic split cable or splitter with it for your PC.
